Imperial College Research AI in Science Fellow supported by Schmidt Sciences at Imperial College London
I am an Imperial College Research Fellow AI in Science supported by Schmidt Sciences, with mentorship by Prof Benoit Chachuat & Prof Paul Freemont. I am working on developing systems of biomolecules which can replicate functions currently only exhibited by living systems. As the rules of how to build molecular systems remain unclear to us and complex, my students and I aim to build high throughput, automated microLabs to efficiently explore molecular design spaces.
Before starting my independent fellowship I was a PDRA in the group of Dr Yuval Elani for 4 years. From June 2024 - 2025, I additionally received a Researcher Co-Investigator grant with Dr Yuval Elani and Dr Antonio Del Rio Chanona to further develop data-driven control systems within synthetic cell microfluidics. Previous to joining Imperial in 2022, I completed a PhD in Biophysics in the group of Ulrich Keyser at the University of Cambridge, where I studied the physics of ion transport across model cell membranes.
